NORMA
The Square
(Nor)

Generalities: it is a southern rather colorless constellation. It is crossed by the Milky Way. Its transit at midnight takes place at the end of May.

Origins and mythology: it has been introduced in modern times by Lacaille, partly dismembering  the constellation of the Southern Triangle, created by  Bayer. Initially it was called "Quadra Euclidis", "Euclid's Square ".

Stars: the Square doesn't contain any stars under  magnitude 4. The brightest star is of magnitude 4.02, and is of orange color.

Other objects: in the Square different open clusters are present.
