Generalities: it is a small southern constellation, poor of bright stars. It transits at midnight between November and December.

Origins and mythology: this constellation has been defined in modern epoch. Initially it was called "reticulum rhomboidalis" , that is "rhomboid grid".

Stars: it is a constellation containing only two stars under magnitude 4. The brightest star has yellow-orange color, magnitude 3.35 and it is 390 light-years far.
