SCULPTOR
(Scl)


Generalities: it is a southern constellation deprived of bright stars. Its transit at midnight takes place in October.
 
Origins and mythology: it was introduced in modern epoch. Its first name was "Apparatus  sculptoris".

Stars: it doesn't show any stars under  magnitude 4. The brightest star has magnitude 4.31.

Other objects: the Sculptor shows a great number of galaxies of average and weak brightness.
