UPDATE:
After writing this review there has
been an update posted to reduce the size closer to scale, see photo above.
The update has the same file name as the old file
Well lets just start out by taking a look at the transparent cockpit windows
with pilot and first officer on board doing there preflight. the rotor blades are
well done also with one exception there is a tail rotor and main rotor conflict
that in the real aircraft would be catastrophic for the chopper this will be seen
in the next few pictures.
The detail of the tail rotor hub and pitch control is very well done.
The back opens on engine shutdown, to reveal a very well textured rear section
the outside polygons show inside a little but not to bad, lets take a ride.
With the engines running the doors now close as the rotor comes up to speed
the blades also blur nicely.
As the pilots get ready to left off, I would like to say the outside is textured
olive drab and very well done Right down to the rivets.
The gear is very well textured and retracts into 3D bays.
The panel is also well done and well laid out there seems to be a problem with
the left CRT panel it clears to reveal the outside when the GPS is off this may
have been to Simulate a nose camera to the left side of the aircraft and help
when landing.
The aircraft Fly's like it should, Its heavy, and responds likewise,
so be ready to control input a bit early.
As we peal off I would like to mention the scenery is the Terrain mesh scenery For Cuba.
