Usworth Cadets Grin and 'Bear It'

 

 

Cadets from 2214 made fur fly at Tunstall Fire Station when they presented a 'Blaze Bear' to Leading Firefighter Joe Cummings. The bears are used to calm traumatised children involved in fires or car accidents. 'Biggles', who was sponsored by the cadets, comes complete with full firekit including boots and helmet.

Cadets Jeanette Edgell, Richard Conway, Sgt Susan Carr, Pilot Officer Andrew Metcalf and Cpl Neil Hughes present 'Blaze Bear'.
