          En
        noviembre de 1994, McDonnell Douglas anuncia sus planes de desarrollar
        una versión de 8 plazas de su popular helicóptero MD520N. Por
        eso sorprendió a la prensa especializada cuando en la Heli-Expo
        ’95, desarrollado en Las Vegas, Nevada, Usa, realizó su vuelo.
        Esta aeronave voló por primera vez el 22 de noviembre de 1994.
        Primeramente se lo denominó MD630N, llamándoselo con
        posterioridad MD600N. Este helicóptero de 7-8 plazas deriva del popular MD520N y presenta un rotor
        principal de 6 palas, una turbina Allison 250-C47 de 808 SHP y el
        sistema NOTAR.  |

          In November 1994, McDonnell Douglas announced their
        plans to develop an eight-place version of their popular MD520N
        helicopter. They surprised the world's press in January 1995 when they
        flew their new helicopter to Heli-Expo 95 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The
        aircraft first flew on 22 November 1994 and the company developed and
        tested the MD600, initially designated the MD630N, in
        almost total secrecy. After their public debut at Heli-Expo the first
        year's production was sold out on the first day. The MD600N is a 7-8 place derivative of their
        popular MD520N and features a six-blade main rotor, more powerful
        Allison 250-C47 turbine and new drive system capable of handling the
        aircraft's increased power. With a maximum gross weight of 1850kg, the MD600N
        is expected to dominate the light single-turbine helicopter market and
