NH INDUSTRIES NH-90

El NH90 es un helicóptero bimotor naval, múltiple función y transporte táctico en la clase de las 9 toneladas. El contrato del diseño y desarrollo del NH90 fue en septiembre de 1992 por NAHEMA, la agencia de la NATO que representa a los gobiernos de Francia, Italia, Alemania y Holanda para NHIndustries para la sociedad conjunta de Agusta, Eurocopter alemania y Francia y Fokker de Holanda. El diseño del NH90 está basado sobre los requerimientos mas rigurosos expresados por las fuerzas armadas de las cuatro naciones mencionadas de cara al escenario militar del siglo XXI. Por lo tanto, el NH90 tiene dos modelos básicos y ha sido concebido con nuevos sistemas de armas y con la última tecnología disponible.

El NH90 es desarrollado para los Ejércitos y las Marinas de cuatro naciones Europeas para reemplazar al Puma, Super Frelon, Lynx, Bell UH-1D, 212, 412 y al Sea King.

Las dos versiones desarrolladas son: El Helicóptero de Transporte Táctico (TTH) y el Helicóptero de Fragata NATO (NFH), para cumplir con los requerimientos expresados por las nuevas fuerzas armadas europeas.

The NH90 is a twin-engine, multi-role naval and tactical transport helicopter in the 9 ton class. The NH90 design and development contract was awarded in september 1992 by NAHEMA, the NATO agency representing the 4 participating governments of France, Italy, Germany and The nederlands to NHIndustries the joint venture shared by Agusta, Eurocopter Deutschland, Eurocopter France and Fokker. The NH90 design is based on the most stringent requirements jointly expressed by the Armed Forces of the four nations to face up the military scenario of the 2000's. The NH90 therefore, derived both in the transport and naval version from a common basic model, has been conceived as a brand new and innovative weapon system, with technical and technological solutions in line with the future expectations of the operators. The NH90 helicopter is being developed in two variants: the Tactical Transport Helicopter (TTH) and the NATO Frigate Helicopter (NFH) to meet the requirements expressed by nine European Armed Forces.

NH90 is developed for the armies and navies of four European countries, replacing such types as the Puma, Super Frelon, Lynx, Bell UH-1D, 212, 412 and Sea King.
