The Investment Promotion Support &Monitoring Agency

The Investment Promotion Support and Monitoring Agency known as "Agence pour la Promotion le soutien et le Suivi des Investissements" (A.P.S.I), is a government sponsored agency established by Algeria with the main task to promote and monitor the investments and capital inflows in the country. It's aimed at being a single window" agency where investors will get assistance in fulfilling all the required investment formalities.

At the Agency, potential investors will expect to do all their formalities (only at this point and nowhere else) and will inter-alia:

submit and register request for "advantages";
submit and register the "Declaration Of Investment";
be notified about the Decision dealing with the Granting of Advantages;
get the documents required for the investment project;
get advice. guidance and help for implementing the investment project.

In addition, at this Agency, potential investors will be provided with:

The assistance in promoting and implementing projects;
The information on economic environment;
A contribution to developing and promoting new investment areas and forms for the internal market and the free-zones set-up in Algeria.

How to contact the A.P.S.I

As a single window, the Agency consists of representatives of the various public authorities concerned by the investment process as well as of financial instituions and organisms. At this point, potential investors may get all the assistance for fulfilling the administrative formalities and be insured that the investment documents are processed within the legal time frame of 60 days. Through its unique window, the Agency's main task is to facilitate to the potential investors the process for getting through the administrative formalities.

The A.P.S.I is also providing its assistance in the materialization of the advantages granted by the Declaration, as well as in the implementation of the project itself.
Potential investors may find through the A.P.S.I advice and guidance as for preparing the documentation, for getting financial help and for establishing

Information:

The Agency may organize seminars and other professional meetings, fora and information sessions to investors.

Investors may find services of a specialized Documentation Center and other data bases.
The A.P.S.I publishes a variety of documents such as guides, brochures, leaflets related to investment opportunities in particular areas or sectors.
Specific files and surveys may also be provided by the Agency.

Other contributions of the Agency:

The Agency is also entusted by the Algerian Government to carry out surveys, research and to develop particular areas of interest where substantial incentives be offered. In this context, the Agency will:

Participate in defining the concept of the specific as well as free-zones.
Promote the creation of sites and infrastructures for development projects.
Procede to scanning in the field of technology, economics and law.
Make research and generate opportunities for cooperation in the technical and financial fields.
