You're not like the other "Anarchy" pages that say check out our pages, we have the anarchist cookbook!! You've got the history and the meaning, and that is what is important. Keep up the page. It's slick, and don't let anyone tell you differently.

You are doing a great thing in informing the masses about anarchism. I've surfed to a lot of sites, and a lot of them are militia-type sites, all about violently overthrowing the gov't with homemade bombs...with the homemade weapons as the main attraction, and all the while calling it an anarchy site. People need to know the truth to open their eyes. You are doing a great thing....

It's people like these who have given us a bad name for the last hundred years :P. Anyway, the quotes are very good -- I saved some of them and will probably post a few on my site. They enjoy nothing more than oppressing people by telling their little sheep...er, Christians to try and stop people from expressing their right to free speech. They have not yet directly attacked Anarchists, but fake stories about Marilyn Manson only go so far!! So let's get rid of them before they become even more powerful. Send them conventional E-Mail, do some phreakin', I don't care, just help me stop them or at least piss 'em off!! THEY CANNOT SEDATE ALL THE THINGS THEY HATE!

Name: John F. Mahler Website: Congressional conspiracy to decomission the Constitution Referred by: Just Surfed On In! From: Eugene, OR, United States of America Date: 1997-03-12 Comments: Hi. I just hope that as the future unfolds there will be room for anarchists of all stripes and hues. I hope we maintain the nation state called the United States of America not the United Nations. Democracy and socialism are cousins and work only as long as there is wealth differential. When equality is attained by the masses they have a hard time imagining their share of trillions of (coin of the realm) is only (one coin) divided up among the populace. Wealth is finite -- a fact lost on socialists and democrats. There is a good reason political science students don't build hydroelectric plants. If they did, they would build them in lakes where the water is at the same level. Engineers accept the inefficiencies in the laws of thermodynamics and build the generators beneath the lake where the "differential" causes the turbine to spin and generate electricity. The energy is free from the sun and the customers are charged for the electricity because it took machinery and men's labour to harvest it -- several facts lost on socialists and democrats. The electricity should be free because the sun shines on everyone, they claim. And they are correct so long as the sun shines. Just plug your toaster into the sun and enjoy your toast. Oh I know, I was simplistic and generalize too much, but it is weakness of an anarchist to go to the bone and have it over with. Thank you for letting me rave, John F. Mahler mamomamo@village.yvv.com |

Name: Nameless Website: Referred by: Net Search From: New Hampshire Date: 1997-02-23 Comments: I thoroughly enjoyed your page, very informative. I think anarchism is a beautiful ideal ... and I am impressed with the wide selection of authors ranging from Emma Goldman to Noam Chomsky (two of my most favorite people in the world). I am not going to sit here and say that though Anarchy is a lovely idea, it will never work because people will always be nasty and try to dominate one another. I personally think that dominating someone is not bad, as long as it is not oppressive. In America, dominance is usually associated with the leader using it's followers to get to a personal gain, but it does not have to be like that. Dominance and power seem to me to be inbred into since America is extremely capitalist. Humans can overcome the temptation of power and greed, and I truly believe if anyone had a choice between living a life of equality and room for individual growth, and a dominant, powerful society where there are two people the oppressed and the oppressors, anybody would choose the first one. |

Name: terrence gasson Website: Referred by: Just Surfed On In! From: toledo,ohio,u.s. Date: 1996-12-04 Comments: I believe anarchy is good, but can never happen. It is a natural tendency to try to gain power and dominate others. Some people are natural leaders and will begin to get others together and will impose their plans on others. For instance, if their was absolutely no law or control over anybody, what happens when someone is enjoying looking at a deer in the woods and someone else decides that they are going to shoot it for food? Either one person imposes their will by killing the deer, or the other person imposes their will by preventing that person from eating the deer that they want to. There will always be some sort of control due to competition to get what you want. |
