Michigan City Evening News
Friday, April 2, 1915, page 1

Mrs. Fred Groehler and Mrs. Henry Blessing went to Chicago this morning to attend the funeral of Mrs. Ida Sieben, a sister to Mrs. Groehler and a cousin of Mrs. Blessing. Mrs. Sieben formerly resided in this city and will be remembered as Ida Faush (sic). She was 68 years of age and is survived by eight children. Her death occurred Wednesday, but details of her last illness are not known here, a telegram announcing her death coming yesterday as a surprise to Michigan City relatives.

The deceased was born in Germany, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Faush. She came to Michigan City in 1857 and resided here until her marriage to Michael Sieben in 1865, when she went to Chicago as a bride. Mr. Sieben is proprietor of the Sieben Brewery in Chicago and is well-to-do. The following children survive: Albert Sieben of Pittsburgh, Pa,; William, Edward, Benjamin, Philip, Leo and Clara Sieben of Chicago.
