Here is a list of some cartridge case volumes that I calculated. These are APPROXIMATE, they are close and are based on standard case dimensions and do not take into account the variations between different manufacturers. Again they are based on the standard chambering, individual manufactures will make cases that vary and after firing in different chambers the volume will change slightly. This is for comparison only, I would not use this to calculate pressures. If this helps you enjoy it, if not ignore it. The first number is to the top of the shoulder. The one in parenthesis includes the entire case neck. Bottle neck cartridges are listed first. The straight wall cartridge list is small, but its what I could work with. The straight wall list has the total volume listed first and the volume available after a bullet is seated to the average seating depth second.

Remember these are close, but only approximate. The only way to get the exact number is by direct measurement with water or a similar method. Even cases shot in the same chamber vary. Also, I know the 30-06 does not agree exactly with what General Hatcher published, but remember his data was from military brass which is heavier than commercial brass.
