The people who want to take away our guns are writing and emailing there Federal and local politicians right now.
We need to do the same. Tell them how you feel about gun control. Don't wait for someone else to do it. Spend 30 minutes each month to tell them what you think about gun control. If enough of us

The maintainers of all large computer systems do backups, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. These backups are kept for various lengths of time. It would be normal to keep yearly backups for ever.
If the FBI deleated gun buyers names every 18 months and only kept yearly backups the entire gun buyers list
could be reconstructed in a matter of minutes.
