Short ID: GS24a. Title: Rujero Composer: Gaspar Sanz Source: Instruccion; Tomo 2, page 4. Date: 1697. Facsimile: Minkoff, 1976. Tuning: Baroque guitar (ADGBE). Time sig: C. Fixes, modifications, comments (M=Measure; p=Place in measure; s=String): M9, m13, m14, m15. These measures in the facsimile edition have some little dots and ticks that don't make sense, but don't look exactly like smudges, either. I ignored them. M16. Petite reprise symbol was printed at the beginning of the measure in Sanz's original. Symbol placed at end here. Tablature elements to be added by hand: None. Explanation of symbols: " = trill, generally starting on upper neighbor. # = vibrato. , = mordent, main note to lower neighbor and back to the main note. $ = petite reprise. Repeat material between the signs. Strums: Arrowheads ^ and v indicate strums. Open strings in strummed chords were not shown in the tablature; add as many open strings as sound good. For a nicer appearance, redraw the arrowhead right at the top or bottom of its stem and white-out the printed one. Octave doublings: If you play this on a modern guitar, consider adding or substituting the octave above any note played on the 4th or 5th string. Leading measure in Sanz's original tablature: 1. Last measure is 16.
