Hmmm... Some of your "members" seem to be in need of a dictionary. There is a vast difference between "censorship" and a contract. Geocities users are in a business relationship with the providers. They give us sites and some gee-whiz page design tools, we give them ad space and conform to their guidelines. No one in the above transaction has been censored. If you don't like the content rules, that's fine: There's dozens of places for you to go and put up your dirty pictures on the web. If your really anxious, you can even lay out some cash and do it yourself. Forcing Geocities to accept content they don't want to be associated with would be as outrageous as a form of true censorship. Likewise, getting flamed is _not_ censorship, either. It is the other guy exercising his right of free speech, the same way you did yours. Note that flaming is different than spamming, which is the cyber equivalent of vandalism on a person's mailbox. If you can't take the heat your opinions produce, then that's your problem. Trying to squelch a flamer is real censorship. Speaking of which, there is _real_ censorship in the world. I'm talking about attempts by governments, like the CDA here in the US, to control the content of the entire Web. That's where our efforts are needed, not on a bunch of whiny "Geocities wouldn't let me put up naked pictures of my dead sister" gripes. Deal with it.
