Lebanese security forces arrest an employee of the christian-owned MTV television station while raiding and closing the station September 4, 2002. Lebanese security forces raided and closed the MTV television station on Wednesday, after a court ruled it had violated broadcast laws with its coverage of an election seen as a referendum on Syria's domination of Lebanon. It was the latest step in a campaign by Lebanon's pro-Syrian judiciary and security forces against stations identified with Christian-based opposition to Syria's grip on Lebanon, where it has 20,000 troops and the last word politically.
