MACAU
MACAU
The diocese of Macau was erected in 1575 as a suffragan of the Indian archdiocese
of Goa.
At first it was the center of all catholic missionary activities in the whole Far
East, but later it only covered the Portuguese dependencies of Macau and East Timor
(1) and, at some times, parts of Southern China.
