The Foreign Ministry has responded to the news that Dick Grogan, Chief Negotiator of the Grand Alliance, has announced the organization's dissolution. In a statement, the Foreign Ministry noted its regret at Grogan's decision, although it also conceded that the organization had "lost its sense of purpose" and "become chronically inactive." The Foreign Ministry's statement also repeated its support of the LOSS, noting that that organization should learn from the Alliance's demise.

Councilor John Rowles, a proponent of isolationism and opponent of the Alliance, reacted cheerfully, noting,"The GA was long gone. This was just the death certificate." He added, "Naturally I'll be retracting my bill to remove us from it, seeing as how there's noting left to be a part of. Perhaps now we'll learn to avoid such foolish entanglements."

Councilor John Rowles announced that he plans to introduce a bill that will remove Cheruken from the Grand Alliance. "The GA is dead, and there's no reason for us to sit around on top of its corpse," said Rowles, who then added, "I would get us out of LOSS too, but everybody else keeps hoping that it'll be a 'viable organization' or some nonsense like that. It'll go the way of the GA, within a month or so."

The other Councilors and the Foreign Ministry have yet to comment on Rowles' proposal.

By a vote of 4 in favor and 1 against and 1 abstention, the Assembly has voted to accept the LOSS charter. Foreign Minister Schultze has been directed to convey the Assembly's wishes to the League.

New citizen and Minister of Finance Erik Krenz has become a Councilor, by unanimous vote of the Assembly.

The Assembly has approved the appointment of new citizen Erik Krenz as Minister of Finance. Mr. Krenz has promised to make the relatively idle ministry a part of Cheruskian life, and has announced his support for PSP. If PSP is enacted, he has promised to add economic simulation to it.

The Assembly has approved the creation of a task force, which will perform a feasiblity study on the proposed Parallel Society Project. The task force is expected to report back to the Assembly within a month, with its results.
