Bissau, Nov. 19 (Lusa) - The situation on the front line separating government and rebel troops in Bissau, capital of Guinea-Bissau, has been described by observers as increasingly tense.
Sources told LUSA in Bissau on Wednesday the collapse of the present cease-fire could be imminent.
A non-official source said that namely Senegalese troops had reinforced their position.
Other sources claimed the government was reinforcing its troops with new recruits who had just returned from military training in the neighbouring Republic of Guinea-Conakry.

Guinea-Bissau: President meet representatives of three opposition parties
Bissau, Nov. 19 (Lusa) - The president of Guinea-Bissau, João Bernardo "Nino" Vieira has received representatives of three minor opposition parties to discuss the setting-up of a government of national unity.
The audiences were held in Bissau, capital of Guinea-Bissau, on Wednesday.
The three parties represented in the audiences were the National Union for Democracy and Progress (UNDP), the Front of the Fight for Independence of Guinea-Bissau (FLING) and the Democratic Convergence Party (PCD). A spokesman for the presidential office criticised the country's three main opposition parties - Union for Change (União para Mudanca), the Social Renovation Party (PRS) and the Resistance of Guinea-Bissau/Bafata Movement - for their refusal to take part in the round of audiences convened by "Nino" Vieira.
The spokesman said the refusal constituted an affront to the "legality and competence of the president."-Lusa
