(1) William de Morley, born 1265, died 1300. Married Isabel Mohaut and had son Robert. (2) Robert, Lord Morley, born 1290. Died March 23rd, 1359. Son of William and Isabel. Married Hawise Marshall and had son William. (3) William, Lord Morley, born June 24th, 1319. Died April 30th, 1379. Son of Robert and Hawise. Married Cecily Bardolph and had son Thomas. (4) Thomas, Lord Morley, born 1350. Died 1417. Son of William and Cecily. Married Joan (surname unknown) and had son Robert Thomas. Thomas accompanied King Richard II of England to Calais, and being marshall of Ireland, took part in the expedition to France. (5) Robert Thomas Morley, born 1370. Died 1403. Son of Thomas and Joan. Married Isabel Molines and had son Thomas. As he predeceased his father, he did not become Lord of Morley. (6) Thomas, Lord Morley, born 1393, died December 6th, 1496. Son of Robert Thomas and Isabel. Married Isabel de la Pole and had daughter Anne. Thomas was, like his grandfather, marshall of Ireland, and so accompanied King Henry V to France. When King Henry died in France, Thomas bore one of the banners of saints, which were carried at the monarch's solemn obsequies. (7) Anne Morley, born about 1440. Daughter of Thomas and Isabel. Married John Hastings. |
