Dolza is aside from Breetai the strongest and tallest of the Zentraedi and aside from Exedore the oldest.
He is very war driven, and usually talks in threats whenever he issues orders, he commands the entire Zentraedi Armanda of about six million (in the beginning) ships from his Commander Centre. The centre itself is a huge ship, capable of manufacturing millions of small ships from it own material, it can also service and stores ships inside it, and is the size of a small planet.
Not much is seen of this Commander centre aside from Dolza quarters where he watches the battle records that Commander Khyron has, and the movie 'Small White Dragon'. In the beginning Dolza is absloutely fanatical about getting the SDF-1 back in one piece, but as the war drags on he begins to worry about the strange powers the Micronians seem to pocess.
This power seems to prove itself when two Micronian captives of Breetai's kiss. Dolza believes this to be a show of protoculture weaponry, and decides the Micronians must be delt with cautiously. When they escape though, Dolza decides that Breetai has failed one to many times, so he contacts Azonia Commander of the Female Zentraedi and puts her in charge. Azonia proves no more successful then Breetai, especially when it comes to controling Khyron.
When Zentraedi began to defect to the ship, Dolza orders that the regain the Protoculture Matrix at any cost and then distroy the SDF-1. This order goes unfulfilled and Dolza soon discovers to his disbelief that Breetai, one of his most loyal, has defected also by holding peace talks with the Micronians. Dolza all ready had some of the Imperial Fleet ready to back up Breetai, but now he takes the whole fleet to distroy the SDF-,1 Earth, and any Zentraedi defectors, including all those under Breetai, Azonia and Khyron's commands.
In the last battle Dolza expects an easy win, however he is unprepared for the Micronians head on assault and the use of Minmei's voice and the use of a kiss. So disorientated are the Zentraedi that SDF-1 manages to breech the hull of the Command Centre, from there the Micronians set off every weapon in the fortress. This causes the Commander Centre to be blown to pieces, killing all those inside, including Dolza. The SDF-1 with it's omnidirectional barrier however survives and returns to Earth.
