Some call it the Tri-Thuster, some call it the Fighter Pod, either way this the equivilant of an airplane in the T'sentrati force. Unlike the Battlepods the Tri-Thruster has the abilty to fly in atmospheric conditions far better then the pods, therefore when it came to battles on Earth the Tri-Thuster definitely took the place of the Battlepod. They appear to be piloted by one T'sentrati and are armed with a front laser cannon that can really put a hole in a Veritech, it also appears to have a few missles, although these are not nearly in the same class the Queadluun-Rau's formidiable missle armanant. There seems to be as many Tri-Thusters are there are battlepods at first, but this can't be true as after the last battle with the Imperial Fleet the Tri-Thuster all but disappears out of the T'sentrati mecha load. These mecha however featured regularly during the SDF-l's long battle back to Earth, since though both battlepods and Tri-Thusters can operate in space, the Tri-Thuster can go faster than the battlepod, therefore they are usally sent out first to take on the enemy while the battlepods go in when the battle is well established. On planets the battlepod would be able to take care of any ground threats whilst the Tri-Thuster dealed with any air attacks. The Tri-Thuster is so called because it has three very noticiable engines, which probably have to do with why is is so fast. However, unlike the Veritech the Tri-Thuster has no other modes or variables, and for all it's fire power and speed it doesn't have much in the way of control. Still the Tri-Thuster is still a very important T'sentrati weapon, and before the T'sentrati met with the Micronians had been part of many successful battles. |
