The Junkers Ju-87 Stuka, a slow, heavy divebomber, was particularly effective in situations in which the Luftwaffe held air superiority. The Stuka enjoyed its most notable success during the early stage of World War II, providing support for ground troops in the Nazi blitzkrieg.
