Kinz's Fall 1998 Schedule
Curious about what Kinz is taking next semester? Ever wonder what courses a third semester chemical engineer takes? If the answer is yes, then you are at the right place. Below is my weekly schedule, followed by a short description of each class. As always, email me with any questions or comments.

Drugs & Society- This course is an exploration of the social and psychological effects of extensive use of pharmacological agents that are salient to daily behavior. An emphasis is placed on addictive drugs.
Physics II- This course is a continuation of physics I. Topics covered include electrostatics, electromagnetic radiation, physical optics, electromagnetic waves and oscillations, quantum physics, and atomic physics and lasers.
Differential Equations- This is another required course, and is the last math class that engineers must take. Topics covered include first order differential equations, eigenvalues and eigenvectors of matrices, Fourier series, and partial differential equations.
Material, Energy, and Entropy Balance- This course is probably going to be the hardest of my third semester courses. It is the basis for all chemical engineering, and covers process flowsheeting, mass balances for reactive and non-reactive systems, chemical system processes, fluids, and the first and second laws of thermodynamics.
