online collection; this is one of the few sites that
has online images of some of the less-well-done works

Lovely manuscript
images, but the site is in French. If you are really interested in reading the text at this site, then
start at AltaVista's
Translator; you'll need ULg's URL: www.ulg.ac.be/libnet/enlumin/enl001.htm. Be aware that
the translation you'll get is computer generated, and thus, quite literal.
- The Manesse Codex
In German; the AltaVista translator may be helpful here, too. Many of the miniatures and some information on a very famous German manuscript of the first quarter of the 14th century.
- The Brut Chronicle
Site concentrating on the earliest of the prose chronicles of england, contains images at various
sizes of folios 1v through 135v. Pretty extensive, lots of good views of text pages.
