Bombay Furniture INC USA (M)

Short term project on a CAD system for Bombay product development group, for their Malaysia, Indonesian, China & Taiwan sourcing offices.

Year fall 1997.

Started on a MBA distance learning program in 1996, while working with IKEA ASIA, which I expect to complete by 1998.

IKEA ASIA Sdn Bhd, Malaysia

Product development manager, with the wood furniture group Far East.

Year 1992 -1994.

Quality & Environment manager for IKEA product range Rattan & Basketware.

Year 1994 - 1996.

Working with external IKEA suppliers in the Far East Region, China, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Mainly with product development of furniture and establishment of a CAD design studio & training of local employees

Internal marketing for rattan & basketware products.

KVIK Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Malaysia.

Technical advisor with this joint venture company, producing kitchen cabinets for the domestic Malaysian market & exporting components.

Working mainly with Quality control & training of local employees

Year 1992.

Diethelm Scanstyle Pte Ltd, Singapore

Technical advisor at the manufacturing plant in Singapore, producing mainly Teak & White Oak furniture for the American & Japanese market.

Working with product development & cost accounting & business re-engineering.

Year 1989 - 1991

EXPO Competence A/S, Denmark

Production engineer at their division for showroom manufacturing, which made all B&O showrooms worldwide.

External customers were companies like Apple Computers & Profil Optik Scandinavia.

Working mainly with product development of a aluminum showroom concept, with integrated lighting & cabel management for audio & video systems.

2'ndly with MRP systems and business re-engineering.

Year 1988 - 1989

Skive Technical College, Denmark.

Study mechanical engineering, specializing in wood.

Completed my education there in 1988.

One of our study host companies was Richard Nissen of Denmark, that makes designer kitchen accessories.

Mikael Lauersen of Denmark A/S.

Cabinet maker student at this very fine Danish furniture manufacturing company, which produce architectural furniture from fine timbers such as Teak, Ash, Cherry, & Beech.

Completed my education as cabinet maker with ML in corporation with Skive Technical College, Denmark, working mainly with product development at ML.

Year 1982 - 1986.
