Emil Kuschnereit

Emil Kuschnereit was born in Essen Germany 11 Mar 1908. Emil had a brother Frank and two sisters - Marie and Katie. (more details coming)

Emil worked briefly as a coal miner but it was the height of the depression in Germany and he decided to immigrate to Canada in 1934. He was a strong man and his nickname was 'Huskey'. He was a professional wrestler before it became a farce. He married Caroline Habermehl on 22 Apr 38 in Fort Erie and they moved to Kitchener in 1939. He worked at Electrohome for 35 years and a furniture finisher. He received an award from the Red Cross for making 135 blood donations. They had two sons as follows:

On May 27, 1961 he married Marjorie Fischer who was born on Apr. 17, 1940. They have two sons: Scott(BA, MA History) was born on July 8, 1966 and Mark(BSc) was born March 25, 1970.
