

For students in the College of Business Administration and for others concentrating in business and economics. An introduction to probability leading to a discussion of distributions of random variables, in particular the normal and binomial families. Also included is a brief treatment of descriptive methods, an introduction to inferential statistics including one- and two-sample procedures for estimation of parameter, hypothesis testing, and the fundamentals of regression analysis, and contingency table analysis as time permits. Prerequisite: A grade of C or better in MAT 115 or permission.
