This open transport vehicle is one of the better rides available for Light Side and Dark Side characters alike. It deploys -1 to Tatooine sites, Tatooine being one of the fairly popular planets on the tournament scene. A Skiff has excellent capacity, easily accommodating one driver and up to five passengers. Remember that the driver need not be a pilot, and doesn't add a piloting bonus to the transport vehicle if he/she is a pilot. However, the driver makes use of his/her personal power along with the passengers since they're all on an open vehicle. Although this makes them vulnerable to weapons fire, any or all the characters on board may surely fire back. Dark Side Skiff users may wish to take advantage of an Anti-personnel Laser Cannon deployed on the vehicle as well. The most powerful feature of the Skiff is its ability to move as a react. Being able to move as many as six characters to a battle or Force drain is always advantageous. To protect those characters, they may all disembark should the Skiff become lost, unlike most other vehicles. Taking into account of its attractive features, the Skiff is best utilized with mains and other tough characters to protect multiple exterior sites by reacting to where they're needed. (Just beware of Sense!) Skiffs can play a powerful role in many decks encompassing ground forces by keeping them highly mobile. Mobility is a definite tactical advantage.
