We land in D.C. We flew over a beautiful golf course, and over Georgetown, and we touched down at Ronald Reagan National Airport. After a brief breakfast and phone calls, we took a taxi to Georgetown. Liz and I were overtaken by the beauty of the school, both saying to each other: "We go to the wrong school." Ansley met Liz at the front gates and Mike met me, and we parted for the weekend. Mike showed me to his dorm, which was the most beautiful dorm I had ever seen--in fact I took pictures. In long-sleeve shirt and khakis, I was overdressed for the 80-degree weekend, but that was okay. Erin met Michael and I at his room and she and I were going to take a tour of the University. She showed up at Mike's with her barely heterosexual boyfriend, though he soon left to attend class. I hung up signs advertising a student-films showing of Boogie Nights and got a good tour of the campus with Mike and his program board lackey. I spent a good deal of Friday with Erin--she and I went to the Newseum, a museum of News, where we made a video of us doing a "newscast," although I did not follow the script. We also stopped at a seedy deli where dirt-merchants leered at her. We took a taxi back to campus, where she returned me to Mike's control. i went out to dinner with Mike and the Georgetown Program Board--so I was the tagalong. I met a girl who new friends from Binghamton, so it was a little funny. By now it was getting late and Mike and I went to his girlfriends so we could convince her to join us for Ben & Jerry's. After the ice cream, on M street, we returned to campus and Mike and I ended up talking about student association campaigns. My roommate was running for president at Binghamton, and he had just orchestrated a successful campaign for his friends at Georgetown. We also saw two boys I had gone to grammar school with--John Quinn and Mike Stefanelli. Quinn was unchanged, but older looking. Stefanelli was a waste of life--drunk off his ass, fat, and stupid. But funny as hell. Exhausted, we went to bed.
