william burroughs (almost done with this weirdly designed biography of his which i found at borders for like 4.98 at the bargain table...yes, a different kind of ghetto i am); allen ginsberg, kerouac, lew welch (of whom i am an indian version, except i will not disappear into the woods like him), and even DENNIS HOPPER was a beat.
i think the beat has resurfaced, to some degree, in the new bohemia that we are a part of, those of us i n h e r e. dig? (where's the shovel?)
