Performance
Plus was not alwas a part of the Monsignor John
Pereyma. When the school first opened all
of what the group now covers was done by two
people, Chris Verhoven and Arron Vandermer.
1991

1992
Chris and Arron left
the school, Pat Etheridge and Mike Mills take
over all aspects of tech
1993
second semester Jeff
Priest begins working with Pat and Mike.
Ms.
Hawkens the schools first drama teacher and Staff
Advisor for the tech guys leaves the school to
teach in Chicago.
Mike Mills finishes
highschool.
1994
Mr. E. Dixon takes
over the drama program at the school
Janice Bouchanp and
Jenifer Hoffarth begin working with the tech guys

199-95
During the setup for
a dispute between the people running the tech for
the assembly and Mr. E. Dixon causes the four
students who take care of the tech equipment to
go on strike until some changes are made.
1995
(second semester of
the 94-95 year) After talking with the four
students who run the tech equipment it is decided
that a new goup should be formed in the
school. It is at this point that
Performance Plus was formed. The founding
four students were Pat Etheridge, Jennifer
Hoffarth, Janice Bouchamp and Jeff Priest.
Also with the
formation of an official school goup the number
of people involved grew dramatically. In
its first year the number of people rose from
four people to fifteen. Some of those people
were, Dan Hoffarth, Jamie Menard, Jeff
Priest, Ray Sokolwski, Dan Hoffarth,
Christian Young, Jeremy Bates, Mark Jacula,
Michelle Makitra, Sam Sotelo.
This was also the
first time that the group had recived any formal
training. This came in the form of Bruce
Whitehead of Lumitrol Lighting Systems, giving a
seminar on theater safety.
1995-96
school year.
First full school
year of Performance Plus. From this point
on ALL people who have worked tech on ANY school
play have been members of Performance Plus.
The work done by performace plus continued to
improve throughout the year due to people now
doing training to keep their skills up.
Members for this year
were: Rich Nunes, Dan Hoffarth, David Shek, Steve
Nunes, Mark Jacula, John Hunter, Jremey Mayhew,
Juliana Shek, Jeff Priest, Pat Ethridge. Jeremy
Eldridge, Jenn Hoffarth, Janice Beauchamp.
Changes for this year
included the formation of a CORE group of
members to oversee the relations between the
staff and the group, and to decide what type of
training was needed to help the group to progress
further.
Members of the CORE
group were Pat Etheridge, Jeff Priest, Jeremy
Eldridge and Dan Hoffarth.
1996-97
School Year
No major changes in
the group. New members joined, old members
left. John Hunter was added to the CORE
group
Once again during the
schools play only Performance Plus Members were
involved in the running of the tech for the show.
Second semester saw
some major changes to the organization of the
group. The informal CORE group was
eleminated. In its place the Tech Council
and President positions were created to give some
formal leadership to the group.
The first members
appointed to the Tech Council were Pat Etheridge,
Jeff Priest, Jeremy Eldridge,
and Dan
Hoffarth.
Performance Plus's
first President was Pat Etheridge.
To become a member of
the Tech Council a member must have been in
Performance Plus for a minimum of three
semesters, or one and a half school years.
To become the
President the member must have served on the Tech
Council and have a fullunderstanding of both the
lighting and sound systems used by the group.
