Pluto

The first time I saw Pluto I was unfamiliar with the band's work, however I was quite impressed by their style of music. They appeared to be a type of band who really liked to play in front of a crowd and have lots of fun (Check out the review of this concert). Following this concert I bought Pluto's debut album "Cool Way to Feel" which I fully enjoyed.

I had been waiting some time to see the band The Doughboys for sometime and they finally scheduled a tour through Saskatoon. I was very excited! To top things off, Pluto was scheduled to be the opening act. This was one concert I could not afford to miss! The band was playing in the campus pub Louis' to an almost capacity crowd.

At around 10:30, Pluto took the stage and began their set. The dance floor was sparsely littered with the band's die-hard fans who grooved to their wailing sounds. Pluto played with a intense amount of energy and tried their best to get the crowd into it. At times while the band was addressing the crowd a few rude comments could be heard from within the bar such as "Bring out the Doughboys"! Despite the heckling of the odd unappreciative crowd member, Pluto never lost their spirit and played for their fans.

Pluto continued to play, covering songs from both "Cool Way to Feel" and their new self-titled album while even taking crowd requests for "Death Star". They also gave the crowd a taste of some new songs such as areally catchy one called "52 Pickup".

Pluto did a really good job and I think it is safe to say that they really pleased their loyal fans as well as picked up a few new ones.
