 Causeway Classic - The big game in football. CSUS vs. UC Davis - every year, this is the only one that counts. Party central when played at Sacramento.

the Causeway - Yolo Causeway, a stretch of I-80 that divides Sacramento and Davis.

the City - San Francisco

Cowtown - Davis

the D.C. - the Dining Commons, the dorm cafeteria

Echo Arena - Arco Arena; it's known for its tendency to echo during concerts or Kings games

Hammerheads - Sac State's Offensive Line in football

Bleachers - it's a bar! If someone says "I'll meet you at Bleachers", don't meet him at the football field. It's across the river by the Guy West Bridge.

Guy West Bridge - see that bridge that looks like the Golden Gate? That's it.

Fred Anderson Field - if you see this anywhere, it's also known as Hornet Stadium. It was officially renamed in 1998, after the late Fred Anderson, who has kicked down some serious coinage for the program.

BFE - the overflow parking lot by the stadium. If you have to park here and you've got 10 minutes to get to Mendocino Hall, you're pissed!

Midtown - all of the letter and number streets on your way to downtown

Old Sac - Old Sacramento; Sacramento's downtown since the 1800's; still has the old western looks to it

Pocket Area - area South of Sacramento in between I-5 and I-80

the rocks - as you travel over the H St bridge toward school, there are rocks over on the right on the river levey. These are often moved around by Greeks to spell out their letters.

hella - short for "hell of", as in "really", or "a lot". We say this in Northern California. If you're from Southern California and don't like it, deal with it. We won't ever stop saying it.

Up the Hill - going into the mountains to Tahoe or Reno

the Union - the main area for Student gatherings right by the library

the Quad - the area in front of the library; popular Greek hangout spot between classes
