Net Literate Old Sanawarians.
Newsletter 1.
March 28, 1997.
Preface: to my many critics Arun, Chetan and Harpal, I couldn’t have done this without you.
Hi! this is the first edition of the old Sanawarian newsletter. This letter is compiled from profiles that you, the OS on the net are emailing to me. My request was for Sanwarians to write a little about themselves and what they are doing, any interesting stories and recollections about Sanawar; much like the letter Dr.Rakesh -"Voted letter writer of the year"- Sarda has written. Also please send me fax numbers for people not on the net who would like to receive this newsletter or subsequent newsletters.

Memories of Sanawar most vividly imprinted
Editor Notes:
* Hopsy and I deny any complicity with this incident... it wasn’t memorable
enough for us...
** Andy Gray was a well-liked professor of mathematics. Slightly eccentric...One
camps, he, his fiancée and Jack "Stud" Mehta rode on top
of the bus to Manali. We get to Beas and Andy was getting violently ill
on top of the bus… The three of them had been drinking quite heavily on
top of the bus all the way. Quite an experience for a group of wide-eyed
teenagers. But Jack and Andy were an inspiration to the rest of us on how
to have a good time Andy Gray raised the cultural level at Sanawar several
notches. As noted above he put on several excellent musicals. The crowning
achievement was a musical Kim written at Sanawar that toured the whole
country. In addition he is an active outdoorsmen and took our groups camping
all over the place and on several minor expeditions to Deo Tibba etc. around
Manali. Baggage (Ajeet Bajaj 83 SBD, Hopsy (Harpal S. Maini) VBD Jr. Dorm83’,
Arun Sarna 82 HBD, Roy Sinai SBD 83, Alexander Battenberg 84 SBD will always
be quite grateful to them as they were like the professors in dead poets
society, a little zany, athletic and intellectual.
Sarda, Andy has his own home page. He runs Chaig School in England. His
email address is asg@chaig.u-net.com
. He has a home page about the school.
I’d Like to put in a plug for the clone zone… essentially you can broadcast to all the Sanwarians who request it a message by simply addressing an email to OS@oocities.com .
Please visit the Sanawarian Home Page ably created and managed by Aditya Angrish. http://www.oocities.org/SiliconValley/1515/sanawar.html. Excellent Job Aditya.

Stock tip for the day:
OSTE:(NASDAQ) $ 7.5 Producer of allografts for transplants, producer of
bone putty, trading around $ 7.5 should see accelerating earnings over
the next few months due to the effect of a close down of a money losing
European operation. In addition excellent growth prospects due to the aging
of the American population and a long-term deterioration of the bone mass
of the population.
Disclaimer: I have a decent position in this stock accumulated at $ 5.00/share Aug 1996 but am adding to my position.
Ciao
