The 2nd "Game Of The Season" of Hapoel Haifa in a row wasn't what everybody expected it to be; still, several moments have to be mentioned. After 32 minutes of play, the referee Meir Levi awarded a penalty kick to Haifa and sent off Alexei Kosolapov whose hand stopped the ball of Liron Basis; supposedly, the red card was the punishment too severe for an unintentional foul, and Giovanni Rosso surprisingly made the justice win, missing the frame. A counterattack of Maccabee Tel-Aviv resulted in a great pass of Dedi Ben-Dayan to Kefir Edri behind the offside trap, and Edri left Moshe Glam in front of an empty net, 1:0; Haifa, having to equalize for the first time this season, made it very quickly, when a fantastic pass of Goran Milenko and a tremendous speed at the left wing of Najouan Grayib finally left Liron Basis in a position impossible to miss from. During the 2nd half, Hapoel Haifa was clearly dominant, but failed to score time after time; we should mention also the double save of Uvarov from the shots of Rosso and Grayib. Maccabee, on the other hand, was extremely dangerous on the counterattacks, especially due to the magnificent performance given by Andrzej Kubica; however, Dudu Awwat, in another good day of his, stopped the forward twice and added to this a save from a shot of David Revivo. Maccabee demanded a penalty kick for an allegedly clear foul of Awwat on Glam, but the referee Meir Levi booked Glam for pretence; in my opinion, it was no foul, but no deliberate show of the forward as well. The final opportunity belonged to the fresh substitute Oren Nissim, after a fantastic preparation of Alexander Jovic, but the former missed the frame. Finally, the result could simultaneously satisfy and disappoint both teams.

The 1st half was the worst of Maccabee this season, and the only opportunity belonged to the guests, when Nir Davidovich stopped a dangerous free kick by Georgi Daraselia (brilliant). During the 2nd half, it was the substitute Ibrahim Doro who made the difference, and Haifa was dominant, only to see the referee Arik Haimovich overlooking the clear handplay inside Holon's box, and to be frustrated time after time with the extraordinary National League debut of the Slovakian keeper Martin Pashko (last year in Hapoel Ashdod). The keeper managed to stop the balls of Doro, Benayoun, Katan, Benado and Mizrahi, the last one with a truly miraculous save, but 7 minutes from time, Haifa was awarded a penalty kick for the dubious handplay of Nir Sokher inside the box. Alon Mizrahi bombed the winner to his right corner at half a height, and though Pashko guessed the corner again, he couldn't stop the 150th National goal of the most productive Israeli forward still active. Now Haifa are not only the leaders, but also the runners-up.

An incredible performance of Maccabee Ironi Ashdod could never be expected from the team which lost to Maccabee Yaffa just a week ago; an unexperienced keeper, a weak referee and, most of all, an awful defence were the main reasons for another Hapoel Petakh-Tikwa's loss. 13 minutes from the start, Amir Turgeman was knocked down by the keeper Eyal Abramov on the box line, after a sweeping slalom; the referee Nir Baabour booked the keeper, and suddenly awarded a penalty kick, converted by Turgeman into his 10th goal this season. Petakh-Tikwa managed to equalize, when a goal pass of Ilie Stan found Moti Kakun inside the box, and the latter threw the ball over the hesitant Akakiy Devadze; however, it still wasn't the day of Petakh-Tikwa. 4 minutes before the break, a double-pass between Amir Turgeman and Alberto Naveda was followed by a tremendous pass of Turgeman to Tibor Balog after a misleading move, which left the Hungarian no other choice but to score, 2:1; and in addition, just before the break it was a redundant unsportive foul of Walid Badir on Eliezer Spire inside Ashdod's box, and Petakh-Tikwa found itself in 10 men. From that moment on, the story was clear. Viadin Kolosevic was sent off (70) for a foul on Amir Turgeman, and in another 2 minutes, the best goal of the game was scored - Naveda found Turgeman at the left wing, Turgeman raised the ball into the box, and Tibor Balog raised 12 meters from the net for a tremendous bicycle kick under the right crossbar of Abramov, what a goal! And in just 4 minutes, when Alberto Naveda was substituted by Igal Zrihen, it took the forward just one touch to get the ball from Shlomi Ben-Hemo and to overplay Abramov inside the box.

During the early game of the double performance in Ramat-Gan, the skills of Tamas Sandor and Nir Sevilla were actually enough for Beitar Jerusalem to devastate Bnei-Yehuda Tel-Aviv. An early goal of Ilan Bakhar from the pass of Sandor was disallowed because of an offside, but 21 minutes from the start, it was a tremendous pass of Sandor to Offer Shitrit behind an awful offside trap, and the forward wasn't confused, 1:0. A mistake of Roman Fibernik enabled Ilan Bakhar to come inside the box and to send the ball to Nir Sevilla who had no problems to score, 2:0. There were several opportunities for both sides to make the score different later on, but only one was exploited - 6 minutes still to go, it was another pass of Sandor which threw Sevilla into a sweeping penetration, and the forward overran 3 defenders and didn't fail in front of Smadja, 3:0. The next week, however, it will be much more difficult.

Quite a dull game between the 2 midtable teams resulted in a justified 1:1 draw. The hosts opened the score, after the corner of Salman Amar found a cannon finish of Victor Pacha from inside the box (6); 11 minutes later, Davor Rupenik sent Shalom Tikwa towards the net, and the veteran overplayed Liran Strauber. The most interesting incident belonged to the weak referee Amit Klein, who booked Tomer Azulai twice, but didn't send him off! Later on, Klein explained that one of the cards went to Azulai indeed (No. 13), and the other one went to Dado Dahan (No. 18)...

Yaffa started the game well, and Oren Kokhavi registered a superb effort that met only the bar of Ohad Cohen. However, 13 minutes from the start, Idan Tal scored from a penalty spot, after Dan Levi had knocked down Sharon Avitan. 3 minutes have passed, and it was another great pass of Tsakhi Shemariyahu to Avitan, who scored this time himself, his 3rd goal in 3 games, 2:0. Morad Magamedov of Maccabee Petakh-Tikwa was sent off (23), after a brutal foul on Oren Kokhavi, but 14 minutes later, it was the turn of the guest Gal Hershlikovich, who kicked down Miroslav Lusek; in just a minute, a solo performance of Idan Tal made the score 3:0. Yaffa managed to reduce the score after a corner kick (55) and 3 headers, Mahamid - Valentinic - Elmakeis, but it was not enough. As if Yaffa wasn't enough troubled, its best defender Dan Levi was also sent off (80), after a foul on Idan Tal. "The commando unit" of Eyal Lakhman returned to the road of victories and looks good a week before the interesting derby of Petakh-Tikwa, especially in the light of the surprise in Ashdod.

An awful first half doesn't need to be spoken about, but after the break, the fresh substitute of Kefar-Saba Niv Tal made the difference. 15 minutes in the 2nd half, he scored after the goal pass of Shimon Danan (just a week before this symbol of Beit-Shean still played at home) and made it clear Beit-Shean wouldn't gain any points in Kefar-Saba as well. 5 minutes afterwards, it was the foul of Moti Ben-Hemo on Yaniv Avvargeal, and though Adrian Ungur made a stupid foul on Meir Cohen to be sent off, it didn't affect Avvargeal's nerves and made the score 2:0. However, the next week, vs Hapoel Haifa away, this skill won't be enough for Moshe Sinai's players.

The awful row of Herzliya's 6 consecutive losses was finally cut yesterday in the last minute of play, giving Andrei Bal finally a more or less calm week. Rishon le-Zion opened the score; the foul of Vassili Ivanov on Amir Nussbaum inside Herzliya's box was overlooked by the weak referee Alon Yaffet, but the ball stayed of the hosts, and Avi Pitusi's pass found the finish of Udi Kabudi, 1:0. Just before the break, Yaffet overlooked the clearest possible foul of Dani Albert on Vladimir Niederhaus inside Rishon's box. A goal pass of Golan Deri found the header of Nissan Capeta (56), and the story seemed to be over once again, but Herzliya fully enjoyed the miraculous 2nd half of the substitute Yair Simhon. He used an awful mismatch of Tomer Eliyahu and Yaniv Mizrahi to reduce the score (74), and he wasn't even afraid, when 10 minutes later Vassili Ivanov of Herzliya was sent off with a 2nd yellow card. In the injury time, Simhon got the ball near the box, passed Golan Deri and from 18 meters curved the great ball under the left crossbar of Yaniv Mizrahi, 2:2.
