Maryland again hosted the 7th annual Mason-Dixon Quad Tournament. For the first 5 years of the tournament, the Teams participating were Maryland, New York, Pennsylvani, and New York; but for various reasons, New York pulled out of the event, and for the past two years, New Jersey has been invited.
John Welch, the New Jersey State Chairman was instrumental in putting together a team that was competitive, had a good attitude, and was representative of the entire state of New Jersey.

There was a three way tie for team Champion as New Jersey beat Maryland, Maryland beat Pennsylvania, and Pennsylvania beat New Jersey; but based on the Tie Breakers, the final team standings were:
- 1st Place === New Jersey
- 2nd Place === Maryland
- 3rd Place === Pennsylvania
- 4th Place === Virginia
This was a shock for Pennsylvania, for in all of the other competitions, Pennsylvania had emerged as champion. New Jersey not only won as a team, but the New Jersey Team came away with the most individual medals.
