A close game tonight as Harlem squeked the close game out. Glen Rice and Van Exel had a big time competition of you can't stop me as they went 49-35 in favor of Van Exel. SWO had troubles up front with the injury to Ilgauskus as Pots only had 5 points.

The defending conference champions didn't look to spectacular against Calgary as Calgary almost snuck a win from Forest City. Forest City's bench wasn't that hot without Penny Hardaway, and Chauncey Billups. Looks like any sort of injury will hurt Forest City this year.

Atlanta gets the win in the opener against the new team run by Jamal. Jamal's team struggled tonight as no starter had over 20 points. It was a great defensive effort by Atlanta or a horrible offensive effort by Illtown. Illtown played without Kittles while Atlanta played without Fortson and Dampier. Wesley and Hunter did well for Illtown on the bench. Pierce had a super output of 43 points.
