School provided Physicals: Thursday, February 24, 2000, 3:15 - 3:30 pm, Franklin Health Suite
Players, you will need, signed by a parent or guardian before you may practice.
NO EXCEPTIONS! Forms can be picked up at the Buchanan office.

Players may receive a physical from any Physician. Again, all paperwork must be completed before you practice!

Weather and post season basketball might change our practice (site and time) schedule! Again, listen for instructions over school announcements.
Tentative practice schedule: 3:30 - 6:00 pm Monday-Friday and picnic on Saturday, Buchanan Gym.

Volleyball Preseason Evaluations
At preseason practice, you will be evaluated on all the following
skills:
1. Serving
2. Forearm passing
3. Hitting/spiking
4. Blocking
5. Setting
6. Digging
7. Floor defense
8. Team play/knowledge of the game
Your chances of making the team also will depend on the following
characteristics:
1. Aggressiveness-do you give 110% at everything you do?
2. Coachability -do you follow coaches directions/suggestions?
3. Attitude-can you be a part of the team, or do you want to do your own thing?
4. Physical abilities/conditioning-speed, jump
height, etc.
In addition, grade level, and skill level at each playing
position will play a big part in determining if you make the
team.
18-21 Hempfield students will make the (Varsity, JV and Freshmen) Hempfield High School Volleyball Team.
Hints:
1. Resting for two weeks prior to March 6, 2000 will not give you an advantage over your potential teammates.
2. Self-motivation is an asset (if used correctly) will increase you're chance of receiving a Hempfield Volleyball uniform.
