Svetlana Khorkina
Svetlana first competed at a World
event at the 1994 World Championships where she earned a bronze medal on
the uneven bars. She competed at the 1994 Goodwill Games posting
the highest individual total in the preliminaries and winnig the gold medal
on the uneven bars. At the 1994 Team World Championships she won
many fans with her beautifull interpretatio of "Carmen" on floor
and original elements and combinations on all events. She won the
AA at the 1995 European Championships and the silver medal at the 1995
World Championships. She dominated uneven bars from 1995 to the Olympics
winning the gold medal at the 1995 World Championships, 1996 World Championships,
1996 European Championships, and 1996 Olympics. At the 1996 Olympics
she helped her team win the silver medal.
