If you missed the bit on Channel 42 last night (12/22) the tire pile out at Finley Hills has been reduced some. Robert Croft went out with 3 other volunteers and picked up a van full of used tires. (Kennewick Schwinn donated the use of their van). Robert and his partner at Leo's Auto Express volunteered to pay to take the tires to the shredder. The cost to do this is about $1 per tire (maybe more). They picked up about 300 tires on Tuesday and there's at least 500 tires still out there.

Recently the trails up at State Patrol have received some upgrades. Ruts in the trails have been filled in, a new version of the trail map and a map holder were installed at the parking area, and new trail signs have been installed. This is much needed after the beating the trails took this summer. Thankx to all! |

November 14, 1998 - Six mountain bikers and three other individuals did trail work on the trails at the Chamna Nature Preserve. Dead matted grass was cleared from some of the riverside trails and the ruts on that section of trail were filled in. Thankx to all who volunteered a few hours out of their day. |
| August 23, 1997, a group of individuals went out and performed some trail maintenance on the "Woody" section of the State Patrol Trail. The Flyers would like to recognize those individuals for their efforts. Keep up the good work guys! |
