About me:

My name is Pentti Lintujärvi - just turned 50. I have had DXing as a hobby since the end of 60's.
My listening cottage is in Ojalantie 21, Väärinmaja village, in Ruovesi commune, in south-western Finland.
It's about 250 kms away from our capital city, Helsinki

And this is how it looks in summer ...

And this is how it looks in winter ... (those white lines on the right side are my long wire antennas)

"The only difference is that there is no cat."

"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

ALBERT EINSTEIN, when asked to describe radio
