The shell is comprised of two materials. The inner material is soft and flexible to wrap to the foot, while the outer material rigid for support and protection. Inside the shell is a slo-memory foam liner, and on the outside are three adjustable buckles completing the new boot.
There is also new frame on this skate incorporating a small shock absorbing system called.....SAS. The rear wheel of the frame is spring loaded in a floating section, and can be adjusted from soft to stiff (or locked off). Then the entire frame has a softer band of material through it (the grey sections in the picture), which helps to reduce vibrations passsed through to the boot (and you foot).
The SFO also comes with an impressive wheel/bearing combo. Hyper Cross Fit wheels (76mm x 78A), and ABEC 5 bearings. Also included as standard are brass bearing spacers and aluminum rockers.
