Robbie Fowler

Every manager's dream striker. A pre season injury sidelined him for 6 weeks. Since returning he has yet to show the consistent form that led to his England call up last year. A possible candidate for Hoddle's World Cup team, especially with the current lack of in form English strikers. With the exception of Teddy Sheringham, the rest of the pack are either experiencing goal droughts (Wright, Collymore), or are out injured (Shearer, Ferdinand).
Liverpool's achievements this season will depend on this young star's ability to find his scoring form again. Although the burden has been significantly reduced by contributions of the sensational Michael Owen and the newfound scoring talents of McManaman this season, the lack of any other consistent scorer in the side puts pressure on Fowler to secure the much needed goals.
