Week #5 (InterDivisional)
Cheeseheads 92
Butchers 74
Low-scoring affair here with the 'Heads winning by a slim 18
points. The 'Heads were led by Kerry Collins with 32 and the
Green Bay Packers DEF with 27. The Butchers got 30 from Brian
Griese in a losing effort. The Cheeseheads improve to 3-2,
and the Butchers slip back to 2-3.
Dawgs 160
Meek Boys 99
To quote Ron: "dawgs need a solid effort from every player."
Well, they got it, ruining the Meeks' chances for an
undefeated season. They got a nice balanced effort with 31
from Aaron Brooks, 25 each from Ricky Williams and Cris
Carter, and 22 more from Corey Dillon. The Meeks were led by
Peyton Manning with 34 and Marvin Harrison with 20. The Meeks
slip back to 4-1, and the Dawgs make their record the same 4-1
with the win.
Pigskin Pipsqueaks 130
Mules 106
The Pips beat the Mules by 24 this week, thanks to our old
friend, Brett Favre. The boy got 48 this week to lead all
scorers. The Mules were led by Shaun Alexander with 38
points and Rich Gannong with 24. The Pips move up to 3-2,
while the Mules drop back to a sorry 1-4.
Missouri Manglers 174
West Texas Mustangs 126
Our all-offense game of the week is here, and the Manglers
outshot the Mustangs by 48. Jeff Garcia had an astounding
69 points for the Manglers, and they got 35 more from Priest
Holmes. The 'Nags were led with 29 points each from Jay
Fiedler and Laverneous Coles and 22 more from Curtis Martin.
The Manglers improve to 4-1, and the Mustangs fall to 2-3.
Bemay Gizzards 122

In our upset special, the Gizzards upended the Outlanders and
won by 28. The Gizzards were led by the Panthers' DEF with 32.
They also got 22 each from Kordell Stewart and Germane Crowell.
59 points from Daunte Culpepper wasn't nearly enough for the
Outlanders. The Gizzards move up to 2-3, and the Outlanders
drop back to 3-2.
