The Manager & Coaches

For now, here is Jimmy ... Tell me what you think
of the job he's doing!
(Other coaches will be here later, but if you
really want to tell me
what you think of the Bullpen coach, send it!?!)
Riggleman is the hottest looking coach in the majors! That's good enough for me! :-) 2/13/98
So you would hire a manager based on looks? How about Sparky Anderson? He's quite the honey, eh?
They need a hitting coach who will preach patience at the plate. Give McPhail/Lynch credit for trying to generate some stability. I say stick with Riggs just for that reason. I don't know if he's the best guy for the job, but we've tried firing the coach every year and it didn't work. 11/21/97
A hitting coach can preach all he wants -- The Cubs need someone who will make Sammy and Co. listen.
What the Cubbies really need is a change at manager. Riggleman
is obviously inept at getting any type of motivation out of his players, and
I just so happen to have some possible replacements in mind..maybe you would
agree with some of them.
1. Hal McRae, it seemed like a better idea when his son still played in
Chicago.
2. Chris Chambliss, he is doing a great job in the minors managing for the
Yankees.
3. Someone and Anyone related to Felipe Alou.
4. Bring back Don Zimmer, who should never had been fired.
5. Andre Dawson...ok, maybe not manager, how about hitting instructor.
1. Did you ever see that tape of McRae going nuts in his office in KC???
I would pass on Crazy Hal
2. I don't know much about Chambliss (Sorry)
3. Felipe's Wife Would Be Fine!
4. Ahh, Zimmer was great. But Don't Live in the Past! Zimmer is an Old Man Now!
5. Hawk Would Probably Be A Good Hitting Coach (Problem is Sammy & Shawon Would Still
Not Listen to Him
