Rim Park, Waterloo

Summer 2001 at Rim Park. A string of buggy pilots enjoy the sunshine. It's truly amazing how
many people have found out what a nice spot Rim Park is to fly.

Wind Climbers from all over Ontario have
been to Waterloo to enjoy the huge park.
Buggy pilots have a large flat area of
manicured grass to travel along. But It's
not just a great traction spot. You will
also find large parafoils lifting all
kinds of line laundry too! Pictured is a
75sq ft Greens parafoil hoisting up a
David Gomberg "Madonna bol". Stunt kite
people are always welcome to enjoy the nice
clean winds that Rim Park provides. There
is also a huge sports complex close by with
fast food and facilities.
Rim Park is located right off University
Ave in Waterloo. See the Rim Park
web site for directions and other important
information. You can also see the map .
Please note we are on great terms with the
park people and have agreed with them to
"NEVER" buggy on a closed field, wet grass
or splash through puddles. Please be
courteous. Buggy photos coutesy of
Kerry St. Dennis.
