Dot One

wondering Jan-8-03 11:19 |
I worked in engineering at dot1, and like many
others I am still waiting to be paid for work done up to
the 'big layoff." After wading through all venting,
etc., on this forum, I have a question that, perhaps,
some of you could answer. In the face of all this
turmoil, how are they managing to keep the web servers
up and running? To the rest of the world out there, it
still looks like this company is up and running. Is it?

Mabey he paid for a year of
service to the host of his web site-if not when
the monthly bill comes in he will be shut-off just
like the power company, phone, and gas company
would do. SHUT HIM DOWN |

As far as I know just a couple of
CSRs are still working for free from out of their
homes, thats what I've heard. As far as I know who
is keeping the web and others servers up and
running I'm not sure maybe its Brian Wanaugh or
one or two others from the engineering management.
So all they are able to do is sign up new ISP
users and cancel users, and not too much else from
what I can see. Believe me an average day in the
CSR department normally had as many cancels a day
as new sign ups. The most sign ups I've seen them
get in a day is about 15. In fact and I'm not
joking I've had people call up and cancel before
they've even made an account, and its also not
uncommon to have a user sign up and cancel in the
same day. Also I'm pretty sure that they have less
then a thousand ISP users counting investors that
also used the ISP. |

Hey y'all
One of my first
paychecks bounced. I never reported it. Now I want
to. Who do I tell?
btw, this rant-room is
great! Some of the funniest shit I've heard in
days. I'm so glad the crooks' karma is coming back
to them....it always happens.
I'm thinking
of filing a wrongful termination lawsuit as well,
since I was fired the same day I complained about
percieved discrimination/harassment by one of the
managers. Who should I tell? |

What would be the point of filing
a wrongful termination suit? He has no money
people! He has SEVERAL judgments, bankruptcies and
tax liens against him. He was so lame that he
bought his yellow midlife crisis sportcar outright
and its now pledged and going to be taken from him
to pay off the rent debt owed to the Parasol
building. Don't waste your money trying to get
your money! He has none. File a complaint with the
Labor Commissioner. http://www.laborcommissioner.com/
BTW, 9th Judicial District Court, Douglas
County, Case No. 02-CV-0063, Judgment Dated March
5, 2002, State of Nevada v. Lowestbids.com
Ohhhhh....and believe me, there's LOTS
more. |

Labor Commisioner, yea right |

(1) He has the money. (Burning
investors and employees is just his standard
operating procedure, his business model)
(2) He ALWAYS has at least a quater to
half a million in law suits going at any given
time.
(3) You WILL have to take him to
court to get it. Even your paycheck. (He knows
only 2 in 10 go though with it.)
(4) The
Deputy Labor Commissioner in Carson City (Michael
Tanchek has already been bought off. (by Bob)

Im afraid you just might SOL- file
with the labor board and if you have the bounced
check turn him in to the Sheriffs dept.
According to articles hes not paying alot
of his x-employees, you might just have to stand
in line and hope for a paycheck-TURN HIM IN |

The Labor Board (Nevada Labor
Commission) protects this guy. Check it here
=>www.codedog.org/nv<= Bob DeMaio has a HUGE
history of swindling vendors, contractors &
employees for years. Non-payment is his BUSINESS
MODEL. He has the money, you just have to take him
to court to get it. Contact me: pat@codedog.org
Factoid: Bob lies like he breathes. Good at it
too. (Semi-professional con man.) |

Well hopefully all the publicity
that this story is getting wel help the Labor
Board Nevada Labor Commission get off its ass. If
not then this story will probably get headline
news in all Reno news channels and papers if the
Labor Commission blows us off. |

Go down to the local district
attorney and file a complaint against the company.
