this service is a great one to be free i would tell u dont pick any other except this u will love it!

I have been using Access-4-Free for 6 months now.

Connections are almost always at 56k.

I have not been knocked off yet.

This is a minor problem but one that I'll mention. I have had several $1 - $9 billing errors but Access-4-Free has responded and corrected the errors within a few days. They provide you with the utilities to view your connect time and to view their invoices in order to keep an eye on the billing.

No ads. to get in your way.

I use Hotmail or Yahoo mail so as to avoid getting tied into the E-Mail of a free internet provider.

It's worked for me.

I see in notes mention of having to get on Acces4Cheap site. Is there a need after you have got on line. I not also the numbers they have are the same as the major isps so one your on your on. If I am missing something let me know. I have people pc right now but thats running out in 30 days. Truly amazing to find this for the price. Matt

Does anyone out there know of access codes for area code: 217-345/or 217-348 in Illinois for low cost ISPs? I have checked till my eyes have had it!!!! Thanks in advance!!!

If you want to fake someone else's post and fool other readers into thinking that the problem is solved, at least make sure that his/her name is spelled correctly.

Hi, I have the same service Access4Cheap dial up, and works good with windows xp. I'm happy with 52.0 kbps connection every time, I used a free software that optimized my modem called " Speed XP " that you can download at http://chirisoft.cjb.net/, other than that XP still works fine on its own!

Thanks, Bruce. After I wrote my note I, too, clicked on the Freedomlist link & it worked just fine. (I had last tried early that morning before leaving for work, with no success.)
So-o-o-o, I went ahead & signed up. If it proves unreliable I'll just cancel & move on. I think I've configured the DUN, but because it was nearly midnite when I signed on, I don't think I'm in the system yet. (My modem dialed, but wouldn't establish a connection, prob. because it doesn't recognize me.) The features of the service, if as described, offer me nearly everything I want or need at this time - at a price I can afford. Will let everyone know my satisfaction level after I begin to USE it!
