Hello, and welcome to my first page dedicated to anything to do with the Playstation; that is, aside from bashing it... anyway, as you know, I'm pretty obsessed with Chrono Trigger (SNES) which is the best game ever, of course. Chrono Cross is the sequel to the critically acclaimed adventure through time. This game didn't live up to it's predecessor because it really can't. (kinda like Star Wars) SquareSoft messed with tested and true RPG system rules, like with FF8, but, like FF8, it all worked out. Feeling in many aspects different than Chrono Trigger, Chrono Cross nonetheless is a wonderful addition for the newborn franchise.
So what happens in the game? What doesn't happen?! The setting is 20 years after the original (since they both involve going around through time, that statement means very little) in the very same world. That means all the places you know and love in Chrono Trigger are back in Chrono Cross... one of the more layabout nations from Chrono Trigger, Porre, happens to be doing quite a bit in CC. The main character, Serge, winds up one day in a world similair to the one he knows, except he drowned as a child 10 years prior. He meets a girl named Kid, and all sorts of things happen... two idiots come along named Solt and Peppor, a scarecrow joins them, uhh... a clown becomes resurrected, and lots more! Very, very good game.
