How I have been anticipating this, man! We have Goemon's Great Adventure is here, and is it great! A wonderful side-scrolling action game, one of the best since Super Mario Bros 3. Pair that with fun two-player simultanious action and beautiful graphics, and you've got a keeper. Here are pics.

Instead of being an adventure game, Goemon's Great Adventure is going back to Goemon's roots in side-scrolling action. Like previous games in the series, it's pretty wacky, but even if that isn't your thing the game play is too good to pass up. It's also an incredibly difficult game, the sort that keeps you playing, though. Not very original, yet full of little innovations (I love Ebisumaru's megaphone- he shouts "HONI!" and the letters turn solid!) this game is my favourite for the year of 1999.
